I do get Neil to do my laundry though because I hate it!

eeep! I don't even like hubster doing his OWN laundry let alone letting him touch mine...how he can take dirty clothes and have them come out a worse mess is beyond me...but then again, I think it's one of those "do the job poorly so he'll get out of doing it" situations....

I have never met a southerner named Earl.

its common

Not really. I'm a southerner and I have never met one. My dad's middle name is Earl. The only one I've met. He's from Illinois. Go figure.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

It's one of those man conspiracies...do a job kinda poor so they don't have to do it anymore.

:bonk: That's supposed to be a secret!

I don't fall for that either. But I have to confess it pisses me off, so I prefer to do it myself than getting pissed off cuz someone didn't do the job right.

when I was little my dad would make us clean everything on Saturday mornings before we were allowed to go outside and play or watch tv so I HATE cleaning.

My dad never taught me anything, he was too much of a poossy to tell me to do something afraid I wouldn't love him as much, probably, so he'd let my stepmother do that on his desperate attempt to be the ''good cop'' parent.

And I'm glad my stepmother used to make me do my homework, or any house chore before going outside to play, that taught me an important lesson for life.

Hubster wakes up, plays his comp games, and gets mad when I ask him to put away the clothes I washed, it only takes 1 minute, but no, God forbid me to interrupt him from his computer to do what has to be done.

It's one of the things we disagree, I'm all for cleaning and doing what has to be done first and then ''playing'', you know?

this made me giggle and think of the plaque my mom gave my brother for Christmas... it says "When you have a lot to do, it's best to get your golf game out of the way first"

I certainly haven't met them all. In fact, I haven't met any. Exactly WHICH south are you talking about?

Exactly. I know several Bubbas. I have no issue with him perpetuating ignorance about the south, but it can at least be partially accurate. Several southerners I have met:

Cooter

Poony

Jimbo

Jim Bob

Scooter

But I have never met an Earl from the South.

Neil worked at a place here for a few months and all the guys called each other bubba. He found it hilarious. He'd walk in and they would all say HEY BUBBA!

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.
