COUNSELING - SOUTHERN STYLE

Earl and Bubba are quietly sitting in a boat fishing, chewing and

drinking beer when suddenly Bubba says, 'I think I'm gonna

divorce my wife. She ain't spoke to me in over 2 months.'

Earl spits, sips his beer and says,

'Better think it over - women like that are hard to find.'

And the thing is if I make a list...the "honey-do" list, I wind up having to go behind him to see what kind of job he is doing. It's one of those man conspiracies...do a job kinda poor so they don't have to do it anymore.

I make lists sometimes. I clean the house, do the laundry as usual on Sat mornings, then I leave to go grocery shopping and/or to the gym then if there's still clothes in the dryer, or something small I make a list for him to do

when I was little my dad would make us clean everything on Saturday mornings before we were allowed to go outside and play or watch tv so I HATE cleaning. Since Neil isn't working right now I make him lists every single day. But he starts his job tomorrow YAY! I will still make lists! Normally I try to get him to cook dinner and he won't do it because I'm a chef so his cooking isn't worthy

I have never met a southerner named Earl.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

My dad never taught me anything, he was too much of a poossy to tell me to do something afraid I wouldn't love him as much, probably, so he'd let my stepmother do that on his desperate attempt to be the ''good cop'' parent.

And I'm glad my stepmother used to make me do my homework, or any house chore before going outside to play, that taught me an important lesson for life.

Hubster wakes up, plays his comp games, and gets mad when I ask him to put away the clothes I washed, it only takes 1 minute, but no, God forbid me to interrupt him from his computer to do what has to be done.

It's one of the things we disagree, I'm all for cleaning and doing what has to be done first and then ''playing'', you know?

nessa we're so alike it's weird! I do the same thing. even though I hate doing it I can't do anything until it's done or else I won't stop thinking about it. I do get Neil to do my laundry though because I hate it!
