aaawww you guys havent had any good southern cooking, you'd end up loving lima beans and blackeyed peas if you had some of my grandma's dishes :)

the only veg I can think of right now that I DONT like is okra. and I am not a big fan of cooked celery but I will eat it if its in something, not worth picking out...

Steven that made me laugh about the coleslaw, I love it too. in fact when I was pregnant with my first child, coleslaw was one of the few things I craved. I used to go to KFC at least every other day and get a family sized coleslaw with a spork and eat it in the car. the people at the drive thru knew me and they would laugh when I pulled up!

:) My mom was born and raised in Texas, so I did get some of that good food.

There's an Asian Buffet restaurant that has become our favorite place - their coleslaw is outstanding. :D

I love fried okra.

Yeah, cooked celery is just weird because it's so crunchy when it's raw. I like it raw when I can dip it in something.

I cannot eat beans. I can't even look at them. Clearly I was traumatized by beans at some point of my life.

Celery is also disgusting. When my Mom makes stuffing for Thanksgiving I make her put the celery in the food processer so it's a paste and I won't bite into a big chunk of it. Gross!

I'm making a family recipe tonight that we called Bean Supreme... :P It's got kidney, red, black and pinto beans in it.

I've never put much thought into this but I love raw onions and boiled bittermelon.

I haven't had bittermelon, but spotted it at the store yesterday, how would you describe the taste?

bitter. in a tasty sorta way. i like it boiled, but the traditional indian preparation (atleast afaik) is to fry it with thinly sliced potatoes and onions.

Favourites:

Least Favourites:

Green Beans ( I will tolerate them if they are mixed with other vegies though) I do love the string beans they have at the China Buffet though....

I have a awesome but not very healthy :P recipe for coleslaw

I remember that one...LOL. It was good but I'm head over heels in love with the coleslaw at this Asian Buffet. I'll have to muster the courage to ask them how they make it.

What are vegetables?

Someone should start a favorite and least favorite dead animal to eat thread. I love eating dead animals myself, baby lamb being at the top of my list.

Mmm, that looks pretty good. Definitely going to be some tender lamb shanks.
