This picture was taken not far from our place in East Phoenix:

This is a picture of one of Phoenix's best features (sadly, there aren't that many!), the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. It's in the middle of city, a few miles northeast of downtown.

September 20, 2005: K-1 Interview in London. Visa received shortly thereafter.

AOS

December 30, 2005: I-485 received by USCIS

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008

Phoenix is so beautiful. I'm tempted to post some pictures from the Botanical Gardens, but I'm not from there.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

Phoenix is so beautiful. I'm tempted to post some pictures from the Botanical Gardens, but I'm not from there.

I feel like I should post some grim pictures too (and there's grimness aplenty here in Phoenix!).

That said, the preserve really is cool.

Wow. I SO would not want to be caught in that traffic jam. Cool pic though. :thumbs:

My friends' band was playing at a bar a couple of miles from campus the night they played Florida. The game ended at about 11:00 and the traffic didn't clear out until 2:00 at the earliest.
