Hello everyone,

I am new here, and I am as well waiting for the interview letter,

I do not have exact dates right now but I sent the N-400 at the end of June I got the receipt on july and 2 weeks later I got the biometrics taken, got all that done so far, Now I am waiting for the interview letter and whatever is next.

I do have a question? is there a second Finger Print letter ? I read some other topics and they mention it

Thanks

second fingerprints comes if your first wasnt clear enough for FBI, and comes within a month of first ones taken, mine came like in 3 weeks, so i think you'd get it by no, and you are stuck on Name Check as many other people, i'd wait till april or better - till date in your first receipt NOA (add whatever days they specified) and if nothing in mail - start calling FBI and senators

here you can put date of NOA and add number of days to see when you have legal right to complain http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html

Hello all,

Well, my wife just had her Biometrics (fingerprints) done this morning. Didn't take too long...maybe 15 minutes. After we asked an employee about how long after the Biometrics are done would my wife receive her civics test and she said that they are processing applications from August through October right now so since we filed in December that it would probably be another 3 or 4 months. This was good news as it's much faster then we had heard previously...she actually said that the VSC is now the fastest in processing the N400's because they don't have any backlog (we're assuming she's talking about the infamous June/July backlog that everyone was complaining about). We also asked about the oathtaking and she said that it's done once per month and is generally about 1-2 months after you pass the civics test but she said depending on how many people are scheduled for one group that it could happen as soon as a couple of weeks after passing the civics test. Good news for Vermont filers for sure!!!

12-20-2007 Submitted my wife N400 to VSC.

12-21-2007 UPS confirms that her application arrived.

01-03-2007 Check Cashed by USCIS.

01-10-2007 Received NOA Receipt Notice.

01-15-2007 Received NOA Biometric's Appointment Notice.

01-28-2007 Biometrics/fingerprints done.

Not so fast :blush:VSC only does the initial paperwork. After that it's your local office and how busy the are. The speed of VSC isn't helping a lot here. That's why it is important to fill in your Visa Journey time line. It is search able by local office and really helps track the progress.

Please fill in your TIMELINE!!!

Good point -- since this particular thread specifically pertains to the VSC, I guess what I should have said was that I hope that the VSC as a whole (i.e. all district offices under its umbrella - in my case, Boston) is getting its act together ;) I agree, the timelines have been pretty useful throughout this process, although they can be a pain to sort through...
