Just thought I'd ask here as Im guessing everyone here has an answer to this question.

I sent my Packet 3 forms etc off by UK post office special delivery a few days ago and it was suppose to be guaranteed next day delivery and signed for at the visa branch of the embassy. Thing is that when I track it , it basically says that it is sat in a PO Box at the embassy. I phoned the post office to complain and they said that the US Embassy doens't actually receive mail, they simply have a PO Box which they put a note in saying that the package is waiting for them at the local sorting office and every evening someone goes from the US Embassy and signs for all the mail that they were suppose to receive.

Is this total rubbish ? , or has everyone else who sent there packet 3 back tracked had this sort of thing??

I too have been eligible and waiting since December 12th...calling DOS and eagerly checking the post every day to hear about a date, but nothing yet. Still hoping for a January interview though

I think they all just took 2 weeks completely off over christmas at the london embassy

yeah I think you are right about that! I bet our file got stuck on that person's desk who took this week off too! Well here ot keeping our hopes up!!!

Approved Appt was at 8, and we were out of the embassy by 9.30 and getting a cab home! A very good experience. All at the embassy were very friendly. Will post a review later! Thanks to everyone here who has helped me!
