Passport in maiden name or married name?

This is probaly a dumb question but -- Can I (the beneficiary) keep my passport with my maiden name or do I have to get a new one in my married name (which is what is on the k3 paperwork)?

u don't have to change ur name...although if u are changing ut state IDs u have to change ur passport..they don't want u walking around with 2 different IDs

If your legal name changed at marriage, then you need the name changed in the passport. Some countries replace the passport and others have a way of amending the name. Visas are issued in the name on the passport.

I got my visa approved having my single name in my passaposrt. I would love to have it done so i could attend the interview having the new one but unfortunately the procces in my country is very complicate ( it can take months ) so they understood.

I have no idea what kind of problem i will probably have to deal with having my k-3 process spouse name and single name in my passaport .. Lets see what i can do to fix it later.

I didn't change my name on my passport and it was fine. You will be good. I still haven't changed it and they don't stop me when I travel. I filed my paper work with my married name. Don't stress out about not changing your name on your passport.
