That story always bothered me. Her hair will grow back, but his watch is gone!

I do not have a fav movie but instead a story The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry. Least favourite is "Charlie Brown's Christmas"

Merry Christmas everyone :)

Is it at the beginning of It's a Wonderful Life where the narrator is going on and on about how the worst thing that can happen to a man is he gets discouraged??

No kidding. You think maybe Potter should be brought up on charges (larceny?). Mary never marries and works in the library, so that's a fate worse than death? Bert the cop can't shoot George Bailey at 50 ft., it goes on and on.

I used to pass this house that had a tree that looked exactly like that Christmas tree from Charlie Brown.

Come on now. I haven't seen that movie yet. :bonk:

I don't have a favorite Christmas movie. The one I probably like the least is Charlie Brown - at the same time there is a certain nostalgia factor there - but I still don't watch it.

Good grief.

Exactly!!

Oops.

Maybe it is my least favourite.

It's been too long to say.

See? It's that scene that is so pathetic...my heart just swells for poor ol' Charlie Brown.

(I have always had a secret crush on Snoopy. He's the coolest.)

Oh boy... I think my most favourite is a toss up between A Christmas Story, and It's a Wonderful Life.

I don't really have a least favourite!

and IR5...you may NOT want to include it, but Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer is still #1  ( I know all the words!)

definetly my favorite, A Christmas Story...bought the American Greetings ornaments this year...one is Ralphies head in a wreath that says "Youll shoot your eye out" and the other is the "leg lamp".. Love that movie from start to finish...TBS plays it for 24 hours straight, starting on Christmas Eve every year..

other faves... Jingle All the Way, Jack Frost (with Michael Keaton), Miracle on 34th street (original), National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, The Santa Clause, White Christmas, the Grinch (original and with Jim Carrey), ELF (love Will Farrell), Bad Santa, and of course Rudolph and Frosty!!

Love Rudolf! I've watched all those Christmas cartoons ever since I was a kid. My students were agape when I told them I still watch Rudolf after all these years. I guess trying to wrap your little mind around the fact that your teacher WAS a kid once is a bit much. :) I love the Santa Clause movies, It's A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol (the old version and the one with Patrick Stewart too). I don't think I have one that I dislike.

A Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful Life...the whole point being that George did make valuable contributions in people's lives so he shouldn't feel down on himself...anyway. Hope is a wonderful emotion IMHO and it keeps people going so why not have a little schmaltz that tugs at your heart strings at Christmas?

I for one will miss the Fromage Extravaganza with Ed the Sock on MUCH ...irreverant and funny as hell! No fish head song either :(

Has to be 'It's a Wonderful Life' for me. Possibly my favourite film period, never mind Christmas film - though I suppose my picture kind of gives that away. :)
