Marilyn--I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope that you and your loved ones can find solace in each other and that the therapist you are going too will be a big help to you all. You are in my thoughts.

Lizzy...I didn't think they would induce prior to 40 weeks. Are they inducing because of the baby's size? Or because you're dilated?

Hiya,

Yes they will induce from 39 weeks in my practice. It is because i am dilated and thinned out. They think he is a large baby also. I actually went in and said when can i be induced, they said at 39 weeks, i said "lets go" Thats next Monday.

I think he will be out before then naturally....

Our son Derek was born December 22 at 7:38PM.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the help on the hands. I asked my doctor today and he said I should get a hand brace. That theres nothing else he can do and it would go away when the baby comes.

Thanks for the suggestion on Ebay. My cousin told me to try it because she gets her formula from there all the time and other items. I just didn't know how safe it would be.

Wow!! Someone steal your sons picture. That is why I never post pictures of me or anything on here because it is very easy to access. I knew before I registered on this site people where having problem with pics in their display names.

:help: I have a question. I have to fly out of town on Sunday. I am wondering at 5 months and two weeks pregnant if I will I feel ok during the flight? Background-I have been very sick (throwing up at least 4 times a day). The throwing up has stop recently, but now I am unable to stand for longer than 5 minutes at a time or I feel faint. The last time I flew out was in early November.

Will I be fine?

I would ask your doctors nurse if you are not feeling well before you fly. I know most airlines will let you travel up to 36 weeks. All the best with your flight.

Is there anyone flying to visit family after you have your babies? I am due April 30th and am planning to visit my in laws in Jamaica the middle of July. My husband is going to leave a week early to visit friends and then we would meet up the next week. Will it be hard to travel with a infant alone?

My cousin was just induced early at 36 weeks. They thought the baby was big and not enough fluid. The baby was 7 pounds. They thought it was 10 pounds.

It seems that some doctors are very anxious

My baby is 39 weeks on Monday NOT 36 weeks as your cousin was. I would not of got induced at 36 weeks thats too early for the baby to be ready.

I asked for the induction my doctor did not suggest it. I agree through sometimes some peoples doctors can be a bit to "induction Happy"

Best not to mess with Group B strep! One of my twins got it and was in the NICU for 11 days. Unfortunately, I had although I had tested negative twice during my pregnancy.

Lizzy-Exciting! You'll be holding your little one in less than a week! :D

Chirupu-Hopefully someone doesn't really have your pic/siggy elsewhere. Maybe it just looks similar? How would they get your photo anyway? I wouldn't worry until you really see it, it could be something that just looks like it.

Good luck to those soon traveling while pregnant. I went on a trip at 18 weeks, a 10 hour car ride. It wasn't too horrible but it did make my hips hurts sitting so long, even after getting up every 2 hours or so to walk. It is tiring but do-able, just be prepared!
