Hi to all:

I am sorry for sounding stupid but, WHAT IS A TOUCH??? How do I know one when I see it?

hi.

first, you need to register with the uscis so you can check the status of your application online https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do

when you're finally registered, log in.

one of the columns what will appear is "last updated" - referring to the date when someone from uscis looked at your petition.

Any December folks out there got any updates/approvals/etc..??? I have never been so anxious in my entire life. I continue to see some people after December getting better luck than us. What's up with VSC? From experience, does anyone know if getting a congressional inquiry help with the process any?

WISH YOU ALL MUCH LUCK AND LESS STRESS......

not really!

truth to tell, we only submitted the very basic requirements ( i only stumbled upon this site after the submission so we only followed what's on the instructions):

signed and completed forms, 2x2 pics, marriage cert (copy), divorce paper (copy), his passport (copy), his birth cert (copy), my birth cert (original - only because i have lots to spare) and the check. the hubby even forgot to send a cover letter so i was a tad worried.

last march, i called the uscis office. i keyed in the wrong number, so i was transferred to a spanish-speaking staff. since my spanish was really really rusty, i had to ask the staff to talk to in english. anyways, the staff only confirmed that they received our applications. however, at that time, they were just working on august 07 filers. to say that i was disheartened by that conversation is an understatement. i talked to my husband that same night, and i tried to convince him to move back to manila instead. i was defeated by his arguments: a) he'd never get the same salary here in manila (assuming he can get a job in the first place), B) i'd probably get a higher salary in the us with less responsibilities and c) the (future) kids would have more opportunities in the us.

before i digress further, let me go back go the that call. after the not-so-clear conversation, i vowed not to call the uscis office again, unless they're askin me to call them. but since i'm very impatient about everything, i kept on checking the uscis site every friggin day, nope, every friggin hour! ha ha ha

then, three weeks after that call, the hubby got an approval notice for i-130, while i got an email approving the i-129.

dont worry, your notice is probably in transit... you'll get it soon:)

good luck to us all!

I'm so bummed.. I sent a note to my congressman and got nothing but disappointment. I asked to see why there is so much inconsistency in USCIS process, why some petitions that are submitted much later processed earlier than others and to find out why USCIS is taking so long to submit NOA2. All I got was a respond quoting USCIS processing time website!!! That didn't answer my question at all. I want to find out what's with the hold up with USCIS!!!!

Chet,

I did same thing, got letter from Congressman Poe today with a attached email from Vermont, stating currently July 2007 petitions per you inquiry are being processed. THATS ALL IT SAID!!!! Also a disappointment, no explanation of all the K1 petitions filed after me being approved.

Im glad for anyone who gets aproved quickly, but VSC is not approving any K3, some at CSC is, but not VSC.

Im tired of being away from my husband, and the waiting is grueling. If we only knew when it would be processed would be some comfort.

Best of luck on your journey.

Paris Heart

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Just quick to see if any December filers got any progress or updates? I called the RFE line today and didn't get any help. But I did manage to get an answer that they are working on August. However, when I ask how did some people filed on a later date managed to get approved already, all I get a silence. No help or no reason at all. Although, I am beginning to think that they have preferential treatments for certain countries. This waiting ####### is annoying and the lack of customer service of USCIS staff is pissing me off!!
