Has anyone got any links to a British police certificate so I can start the ball rolling so to speak. I know we have not filed for a K1 yet but I want all our paperwork together for the day my Fiancée's divorce papers come through.

Thanks

David

Police Records

Available. Immigrant visa applicants who have resided in the United Kingdom for six months or more since the age of sixteen are required to obtain a statement from the National Identification Service, Subject Access Office, Room 331, New Scotland Yard, Broadway, London SW1 OBG.

This statement will serve to advise the consular office whether or not any criminal conviction is held against the applicant. The National Identification Service does not accept applications from individual applicants; the request must be made through local police. By law, it can take up to 40 days to receive a response. The fee for this service is 10 British Pounds Sterling.

The didn't accept checks, or money orders from here. I had to have someone deliver the ten pounds in order to get it.

The longer it takes to introduce yourself the less you've actually accomplished

You may want to hold off on getting the police certificate until you're much closer to your interview date. Technically the police records are good for 2 years, but it's always up to the individual consulate as to what makes them happy. There's every chance they could send you back for another one if your police report is older than 3-5 months.

You could always punch a cop and take one from him.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell
