No need to make appointment, just walk in during office hours. Allow half a day including waiting time, blood work, chest x-ray and doctor's consultation. The report will be forwarded from the doctor directly to the embassy.
Update per Department of State website: You should call the medical facilities listed to make an appointment for your medical examination. Medical should be completed 2 weeks prior to the interview date.

For those aged between 18-64: MMR, DT and varicella (chickenpox).
Varicella can be waived if you have had chickenpox before.
Below 18 yrs: Hepatitis B also required.
Over 64 yrs: Influenza (flu) also required. |
