My wife did get asked about her travel history and the adjudication officer at first was telling us that she was only supposed to had used her Advance parole for an emergency only and not for leasure travel but since I told her that the combo card was applied for to be used for multiple entries and I also showed her a copy of the i-131 showing that we applied for multiple entries and we did not list any emergency on the form. The officer did not approve us on the spot but only hinted us that it was going to be approved. Our status changed online after about 4 hours from Interview Scheduled to New Card Being Produced. Then today on 5-20-2021 it changed again to Case Approved. 2023-02-28

He asked my spouse to confirm all of the typical biographic data I-130 questions, me to do the same for the I-485, asked me a bunch of the yes/no questions, then asked how we met, where we lived. Then asked what additional info we had for him. I handed him a fairly large stack of photos, which he went through, asking where they were/who was in them etc. That took around 5-10 minutes. Then I gave him a bunch of supporting documents - bank statements from joint accounts, leases, certified copy of married license, car insurance, apartment insurance, utility bills, 401k beneficiaries. He seemed very satisfied and said "I'm definitely going to approve you". Walked us through 2yr conditional green card and applying for US citizenship in 2yrs 9 months from when I get the conditional greencard. He then gave us a signed piece of paper saying nothing else was needed on our case. He again reiterated he'd approve us quickly. That was it. Didn't ask us about our actual ceremony or any other details about our relationship etc. I feel like this was a 10/10 on the easiness scale. He was really friendly, and we talked a bit about overlaps in places we've lived worked/studied. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- No online status change after interview (still showed as "Interview Scheduled") - finally changed to New Card is Being Produced 30 days after interview. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Green card "out for delivery" May 14, 2021, finally delivered May 17, 2021 - green card has original interview date on it (April 6, 2021). 2024-05-19
