Copy of IRS Transcripts vs Copy of H&R Block E filing

We have our I-751 packet ready to be mailed, but my husband read on here that the IRS transcript is what we should send instead of a copy of our H & R Block E filing. We also have a copy of our refund check. Anyone have success just sending the Copy of the H & R block E filing? My husband wants to wait for the transcript which will take a week or more.

Thanks,

Angel

You can have the transcript faxed to you if you have access to a fax machine... if you have them mailed they only take about 5 days to get..... I would sent the transcript.. that is what they prefer if you want to send your e-filed tax return you will need to include W2's...

Greetings,

I'm not quite clear what's the difference between e-filed tax return and the tax return that they give you at (H&R) block. Does one have the w2's included and the E-filed one doesn't?

I sent in the print out that i got from the local H&R office, but forgot send the copies of W2.

Thanks for your help

Eddie

Tax transcripts are the most valid as they show you definitely filed to IRS.

Any others can be faked. 1040s with W2s are excepted tho.

If there's any doubt of being valid USCIS will require you to get tax transcipts.

Thanks!!

I don't remember hearing the option to fax them to me. Just sending them by snail mail. I do have access to a fax machine. I need to call again and speak to a customer service person.

Thanks again!!

The Printout from HR Block does not show you have filed a tax return it just shows that you had HR Block prepare your taxes.... The tax transcript from IRS is 100% proof that you filed for that year and you do not need to send any additional evidence such as W2's 1099's

Thank you guys.

I guess at this point i just have to wait for RFE and meanwhile i can request the transcripts from IRS. I only sent the 1040 with no W-2

Do you HAVE TO get your official tax transcript from the taxation department? Or is that a 'just to be sure' optional thing? DH wants me to get my application in ASAP and he gave me our three H&R Block packages to copy.

The tax transcript is optional. It's just better proof of you filing together. The IRS can fax them to you.
