Hello Everyone!

Im very confused, so i post this for help (sorry for my english ;):D )

Im very happy that my husband and i  we got married the last year in july :D in my country Honduras! , so my husband is now USA :( :(

So we decided this processing visa. My husband sent all the documents to the USCIS in the end of october 2017 , so my question is about the case number to verify my status on the USCIS page.  when I should receive it? I get it on the NOA1? , or this number is in some notification in the first days after we having sent the request to USCIS?? because It's been five months since we sent everything and my husband says he still does not have the receipt number  :( .....I really aprecciate your help! thank you! :)

He should have received "Receipt of First Notice" via email when they got his petition, and you can get the receipt number there. That's what normal call NOA1. Using the receipt number there, you can use that to check your status here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Call USCIS, they should be able to give you a receipt number so you can check your status of your application, be persistent until you communicate with an actual officer not the first operator, sometimes the operator will schedule a call back with an actual immigration specialist or officer that has access to pull your info according to your names and birthdays.( operators dont )

If your husband didn’t receive NOA1 then I would definitely call USCIS. Once you have your receipt number, register on USCIS. Make sure you register on the new updated web portal. I used the old one and didn’t have any case status update problems, however, many users complained about not receiving any case status updates on the old web portal.
