It won’t affect DV2018.

according to US CO in Casablanca all AP are taking place outside the us embassies so at Washington dc is where your case is set to be for extra background checks . to many cases too many visas to be processed . hopefully not that much longer .

good luck to all of us . god bless

If you meant to respond to my comment, it was about the proposed immigration reform, not AP.

Do a google news search on “US immigration reform” or a term like that, you’ll see plenty...

but don’t panic. Current DV year should be fine. I’ll be surprised if there is a DV2019, though.

It is relief to hear it.)

mine is still 16 Jan and AP, currently i don't know anyone who received the visa.

As I understand the update can be made by two main reasons. 1) the applicant send the inquiry to the CO and 2) by reasons of the consular section.) Is your update based on the inquiry?

i haven't sent any inquiry since my interview, i know some people who've done so, i believe that sending them an inquiry won't change anything.

I understand you. But in order to refresh they mind I recommend you to ask the CO by email at least once a month. :)

Let's wait better news ~)
