I had my interview last Friday 19th, and was approved all within the space of 25 minutes! At the London U.S Embassy. I have been watching my case status and today 24th May it has changed from 'AP' to 'Issued.' I registered with DX courier for my documents to be delivered at a home address last month when I scheduled my visa interview. How long did it take you guys to receive your visa & passport after it had been changed to issued? Will my passport be in a separate envelope to my visa so I can retrieve it? It's just I'm flying in 2 weeks and this Saturday I'm planning on going out with my friends for a farewell party and I need my passport in order to do so! (Not a big deal right now at all, I'm just curious!) my main priority is receiving my visa 😌

Thank you so much! xxx

Annie, my daughters interview is tomorrow.  Where did you login to see the change from AP to Issued?  I dont remember from last year

Last year when my husband got ISSUED he received his passport in the mail in 7 days.  There was one envelope and inside this envelope there was the passport and visa information as well as another envelope that clearly stated DO NOT OPEN.  This envelope will be the one you give to the immigration border attendants at the airport.

My interview was last year for my husbands K1 and now my daughters CR2 is tomorrow.   You can look at my timeline to see how the K1 was.  Super easy, super simple and fast, they just had a minor problem with the birth certificate and asked for a better copy, delayed us getting the visa in the mail by 2 weeks.

Tomorrow I will post review of my daughters CR2 on my other VISA JOURNEY page:  valentindadp

You just need the case number!

Thank you so much for your help, and good luck to your daughter! I am sure everything will go absolutely fine xx

Thank you so much!! Oh man, it was such a relief. I applied for the K1! I read so many posts on here on how things go, and not to worry, but I simply couldn't help but worry. So I completely understand and sympathise with the stress xx But honestly, they're such friendly people and make you feel at ease. Apart from obvious documents, like the birth & police certificate, appointment letter and DOS confirmation and affidavit of support (and co-sponsor), all they asked me for was my fiancé's most recent tax returns and employment letter (for co sponsor aswell.) I took so much evidence, absolutely everything they asked for and that was all! They asked me how we met, if I met his parents and when we visited eachother and how we communicated. And that was it :) interview itself only took 3 minutes! I advise to take everything you can because obviously, they could ask you for different things. But just take a few deep breathes :) and once you've had it, you will look back wondering why you've been stressing so much, believe me! But it's such a wonderful feeling. Good luck!! Xxx
