Jamaica Friends - Any problems with travel during condition removal?

This question is for my Jamaican friends...When traveling back home to Jamaica with your 1 year extension letter, did anyone have any problems when trying to come back to the states on either the Jamaican exit or US re-entry?  We are going back home in May for a visit. Hubby's card expires in April and will be traveling on the letter.  He is a nervous wreck that he will have problems.  I tried to reassure him that this is why they give the extension letter.  I think he will feel better if he hears of others experiences in this area.  Thank you so much!

Just to clarify -- make sure he takes both the original extension letter and the expired green card. Bon voyage!

Thank you so much!!
