Is it recommended to not disclose Canadian Military Records under any circumstances?

Hello everyone! Love this site :)

My wife was in the Canadian Navy very briefly (only a few months) when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. After being diagnosed she chose to leave the military and was told that because she was leaving for medical reasons, she would never be required to disclose her military records. Is this true? I'm assuming this does not apply to our IR-1 visa application, but I was just curious if there are any Canadians out there who have been in similar situations.

Okay thanks! I forgot to mention she did not even complete basic training, not sure if that changes anything. We also forgot to list the military on her employment history in our already approved i-130 (because it was so long ago). Can I simply correct her employment history in the DS-260?
