Details,

My wife arrived on K1 Visa in November 2011. We married in Feb 2012, within the 90 day period.

We did not file for her Permanent Residency card until November or December of 2013. She received her 10 year Permanent Residency card in July 2014.

Must one wait for 3 years from the date of Permanent Residency to apply for US Citizenship or is it 3 years from the date we were married? I do recall when we went to her meeting in June 2014, which we set up because we still had not heard back from USCIS regarding her Permanent Residency they 1) Processed her Permanent Residency right then and there, stamped her permanent residency good for 1 year in her passport and said the card would arrive in about 2 weeks, which it did... I also recall the officer stating something to the effect of..."Not too long and she can apply for her citizenship." Is it possible she can go ahead and apply for her citizenship since we've been married over 3 years?

Thanks
