Hey everyone!

I am new to this site and I would really like some help, this is really stupid but when me and my wife originally sent the I-130 the first time (a couple of weeks ago) we forgot to put the check in the package.

So now we are in the process of sending the package again. So the question is what to put on the D.2 question, well since we have filed before I check Yes in the box but then it says "if Yes give name, place and date of filing and result"

Both me and my wife are currently in my country (sweden) and was when we filed so do we put Stockholm sweden on it or the chicago lockbox that we sent it to?

and then it says date, do we put the date that we sent it or the date they recieved it? and result? It got rejected but it was only because we didn't put the check in with the paperwork.....

I would really appreciate any help we have tried researching this for days now.

Was the petition rejected by the lockbox in Chicago? If so, I'd say you answer no to D.2 because you haven't previously filed a petition as it was rejected. It's only a filed petition once it gets accepted. But that's just my opinion and not based on any facts. To be 100% certain, you should contact USCIS.

Sept 15th 2015 - Request help from Texas US Senator Cornyn and his team


Sept 23rd 2015 - Our case is moved from supervisor review to NVC's team for dealing with Senator requests

Dec 21st 2015 - Interview


Dec 21st 2015 - 221(g) issued at interview for updated forms


Jan 13th 2016 - Mailed our reply to the 221(g) to the US Embassy, received and CEAC updated the next morning


Jan 20th 2016 - Embassy require more in-depth info on asset for i-864


Feb 1st 2016 - Sent more in-depth info on assets as requested. Received the next morning


Feb 16th 2016 - Visa has been issued :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

April 5th 2016 - POE Newark. No questions asked.


April 14th 2016 - SSN received


May 10th 2016 - First day at my new job :dancing:


May 27th 2016 - Green Card received


June 7th 2016 - Got my Texas driver's license

Maybe youre right. Because last time we filed it was rejected straight away since there was no check with it..
