Just received a reply from my senator office.

After a review of our systems it was found that Case MSC xxxxxxxxxx, Form I-130 is currently pending at the NBC.

NBC continues to receive I-130s and ship them to the field for adjudication. Based on the current volume of pending immigrant visa petitions, our current processing time for I-130s is approximately 6 months from the date of this response.

NBC will review and adjudicate I-130 Immediate Relative requests for expedite (if the file is located at the NBC.) If you request your case be expedited the case will need meet USCIS expedite criteria. All expedite requests must be accompanied by supporting documents that demonstrate that one or more of the expedite criteria have been met. Information regarding the expedite criteria can be found at the link below.

So they are saying six more months from now? That makes it 12 months for me. Useless inquiry i think.

Yes, it is basically useless to ask senator's office for help with USCIS I-130 cases. I had gotten a similar reply 2 months ago.

I am assuming senator or congressman both would provide me with same answer? So no point in contacting congressman

I'd contact your congressman as well. I mean it doesn't take much time and it won't hurt anything.

I'm still waiting for a reply from my congressman, but I'm not holding my breath. I assume I'll get the same response as everyone else.

Looks about right, I think us feb, march, april filers are going to get screwed with this new facility opening. Soon it will be may, june and so on will start getting NOA2 and our file will be stored somewhere in NBC, Very unorganized government agency i must say.

Yeah I think Feb/March/April 2013 (and some Jan as well) was the worst time to file.

I try really very hard not to be bitter, but if May/June/July start getting approvals before us, I will be quite bitter.

I flied in January and was approved on Sept 13th..8 months. I think the rest of the January and Feb filers should see some action soon. I just checked USCIS waiting time and it now says 16.6 months...yikes!

I can't wait to be done with this process! The next time I have to deal with USCIS again is when my sister's petition/PD becomes current, which is about 7 years from now. That's a good nice long break!
