We applied for the removal of condition I-751 in Feb 09. My green card is expired end of May this year. Now I just hold that one year extension piece of paper in my hand. Well on this website (visajourney) it says the processing time is about 6 months. When I called USCIS they said they are processing applications from May '08?! Does is really take 1 year to process? What else do we have to do before I get my new green card?

Thanks in advance :)

Even if your process takes longer than a year, you can make an infopass and request an I-551 stamp in your passport. Sucks to wait so long, but that little piece of paper extending your green card is good enough while you are waiting. Hopefully the wait is going to end shortly!

I dont know about that. I filed an I-751 in California and have been waiting 11 months. I just got a 1 year I-551 stamp after setting up an infopass. They said that the case was progressing nicely and gave me the stamp and said to check again in 60 - 90 days if we had heard nothing. so, my experience with CSC is very very very slow......
