Affidavit of Support
Niraj Doshi posted a topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Hello, I am a US Citizen and have filed an immigration petition for my parents. The case is now at the NVC, and I have a few questions about Affidavit of Support. My wife and I file taxes as married filed jointly, so if I submit the return transcripts from IRS, it will demonstrate the combined income, and there doesn't appear to be a line item that shows individual income. My individual income is sufficient and well above the poverty guidelines. In that case, do I have to add her as a joint sponsor, or can I be the only one submitting the AOS and include the 1040 as a supplement to IRS Return Transcript? If my wife is not a joint sponsor, but since we reside in the same household, does she have to sign I-864A Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member? I have multiple sources of income (W2, Rentals and Business), however, my W2 income suffices and is well above the poverty guidelines. Can I file I-864EZ with just W2 Income mentioned? In I-865EZ > Part 5 > Item 4 > My Current Individual Income, if I am including only the W2 income, should this match (or be around) the previous years W2 income? Thank you very much in advance Best, Niraj -
Hello! I am a little bit confused about the support documents. In 2018, my wife filed i-864 with a Joint Sponsor. But now her income is more than enough for the two of us. So, do we need to upload i-864 or i-864ez? Also, do I have to upload i-864 and i-864a for the existing Joint Sponsor? Thanks!

My wife filed for her parents immigration and now we are at NVC stage and required to submit I-864s. #1: My wife's doesn't work and we file taxes jointly. In that situation can we still use I-864EZ or we need to file I-864 fro her and I-864A to include my income. #2: I filed for an extension for this years taxes and haven't complete my filing yet. Can my last year and previous years W-2s and IRS transcripts be used in such case or should I file my taxes first and then file the I-864. Thanks
