Does anyone know how long the Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica take to send your visa over to DHL once its issued so you can pick it up.  My husbands visa states its "issued" on the Department of State site as of Friday.  Would it be ready for pick up this week?

Today is a fabulous day after all!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husbands CR1 Visa has been issued from Kingston Jamaica Embassy!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for all those waiting.  Be patient!!!!

I called the NVC this morning regarding my CR1 case to see if it is complete. The representative told me I must wait "up until 6 weeks". So I asked what happens at the point of 6 weeks and still no "case complete". She responds "we will worry about that then". I found that very unprofessional and RUDE. I feel if there are cases that are "clean" why not put them through so those that don't have issues have to suffer in waiting so long!!!

I always here that Ghana is a tough Embassy to deal with. Sending prayers your way for an outcome soon. Was his medical clear, does he have a clear police record any prior marriages. Was all documents submitted that they requested?

I am really sorry to be hearing this. I thought they would tell you right then and there why you would be denied. So are you waiting to find out what is going on?

My scan Date is September 29, 2016. Tomorrow, November 11th makes the 6 weeks. Still no case complete.

National Visa Center Offers Insight Into Recent Delays in Case Processing
The National Visa Center (NVC) has offered some insight into the reasons for the recent delays we have seen in the time it takes to process an immigrant visa case through the NVC.
Over the past year, the NVC was inundated with immigrant visa cases from USCIS, as USCIS shifted its workload to focus on the backlog of stand-alone I-130 cases. The NVC used to receive approximately 8,000 cases per week. As USCIS continued to dig out of its backlog, the NVC began receiving around 25,000 cases per week. The NVC is now receiving a large increase in non-current cases as well. Over the past several months, much of the backlog was at the front end of the process – case creation. The case creation process was at 45 days over the summer. It is now at 12 days. At present, delays continue at the document review stage (55 days, down from 60 days). Staff are cross-trained and resources have been reallocated to document review to bring the backlog down. The NVC is hiring additional staff and looking at its internal processes and will continue to work on improvements. Without a doubt, we could add to this list the fact that the monumental forward movement of the EB-3 category for the Philippines has significantly increased the number of cases the NVC is receiving.
Hopefully the efforts the NVC has made toward reducing the delays will allow us to get back to the reasonable processing times we have seen in the past.

I completely agree with you!!! They say "up to 6 weeks" and its taking longer. They are misleading ALL OF US! I wish there was a way to make formal complaint.

Thank you for your response and I understand what your are saying but how can they make a decision before my interview when the medical has not yet been submitted. Also since my petition, I have gone to spend time with my husband on two occasions in May and June. I also heard that I am not able to attend the interview with him. I am not allowed inside. Is that true?
