Btw, i'm hearing that once you apply for an EAD renewal they may not honor your current advance parole card when you try to re-enter the country even if it is not expired. So beware.

Why would they not honor your existing AP? That makes no sense.

I don't know. But my wife will remain in the US after she applies for the renewal. Can't take the chance on that pain. Apparently this has just happened to some of his clients.

Entry on AP is never guaranteed and carries risks, but if somebody was denied it would not have been due to the fact that they applied for a renewal of the EAD...there would be an underlying reason for the denial.
