So weird everyone. Just wanted to share this in case anyone else experiences this in the future.

So my husband's case was approved and then on Novemeber 24, we received an update saying that the card was mailed! They didn't provide a tracking number though.

Today I got another update saying that card was mailed!!! We were like WHAT? I checked USCIS website and now that it moved onto the delivered stage it provided a tracking number. When I checked it it stated it was delivered to LEES SUMMIT. So I called uscis and after being rebadged I was put on hold for about 50 minutes. When I spoke to the man on the phone he wanted to reassure that our address was current, which it is. He then said it's possible because my husband isn't registered at the post office for the address! So weird because all of his other papers and EAD came without an issue. But he requested that they resend it with "in care of" my last name. He said the card or either a letter should be here by Wednesday. We live with my parents. I hope it comes by Wednesday it's been so long!

do you have a name card with all the names of the humans there, inside of your post box thingie? if no, make one, today, tape it up so the postal carrier can see it. Is quite possible, for that one day, it wasn't your normal postal carrier, and the replacement fella just didn't care about it.

I hate this, when it happens, as postal carriers rarely get it right when a greencard is 'nixed back to USCIS. I had this issue with my wife's greencard also, took a congressional inquiry to retrieve it out of the TSC and head back to us.

Sorry you're having troubles, really !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

There is no such thing as no as registering at the post office . If there is no name or last name on apartment or condo mail boxes . We will not deliver mail to that box. Or if it's even open and your name is on the box. Tony. USPS delivery supervisor.

Its okay, but thank you for your kind words!

It didn't even make it to my area. It was sent back from San Jose, to Sacramento, to Oakland, then Lees Summit. I live 30 minutes away from San Jose.

Can you please explain why you had to do a congressional inquiry and how you went about it? I am hoping I don't have to go through that!

Hi! We live in a house but we have those big metal mail boxes where everyone has their own key. There wasn't an issue with the EAD or anything. I'm sorry but I don't understand your comment.

If there isn't a name you won't deliver mail to the box? But also, if their is a name you won't deliver it?

The thing is that my husband's greencard didn't even make it to my local post office! It went from the original place to San Jose, Sacramento, Oakland, then Lees Summit. I live 45 minutes away from San Jose.

Hey Tony ... I write about name cards here, probably 10 times each quarter, the last 4 years. I think name cards are important, really. !

I have those as well, my mailperson opens the entire side from the front, there are no names on the outside just numbers , but i did write the last names where he can see it as he loads the mail

Sorry, I'm only asking because you mentioned that you were a supervisor at USPS

Do you have any clue as to why it was never even sent to my local post office? I mean I would understand if they sent it to my local post office and then my mailman was like "hmm his name is not on here, let me send it back." But it never even made it to that point so that's why I am so confused.

Could it have nothing to do with the name and just have been an error on USPS' side?
