You may call NVC first. Ask them if your package has been forwarded to the USEM Abu Dhabi. Another option is to email US Embassy Abu Dhabi and ask them if they already received your package from NVC. In the subject line of your email write your Abu Dhabi Case Number, your name and Visa Category. I remember I'd waited 3 weeks to get an interview schedule and list of panel physicians for the medical via e-mail.

It's been 3 weeks now since we got our noa2,but still we didn't hear anything from nvc or abu dhabi embassy regarding our application..anyone here with the same situation? And for those who have been interviewed in abu dhabi, how long we really need to wait before they will notify us? thanks for the future response

It can take 5 weeks or longer for NVC to receive your approved petition. It took me 5 weeks. You just need to wait patiently and keep calling NVC every day until they have received your case. When they receive your case, they should only have it a few days and then it will be sent off to the embassy.

Zedayn, thanks for your response, where did you process your visa? My fiance planning to call nvc on tuesday.. yeah I'm patiently waiting, this is the reason why I have sleepless night lately lol? he doesn't want to call nvc everday coz he's afraid that calling them everytime may slow the process?

Our petition was sent to California, and after we received the NOA2 it took us 5 weeks for NVC to receive. Now we are just waiting on an interview date.

Calling the NVC doesn't slow the process. I've called every day for 4 weeks straight until I got news they received our petition. You need to be persistent if you want to know if your case is received or if you want your case number.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

AUH Embassy..you need to wait for 2 to 3 months...then you can follow up by sending mail to them...they do reply..they will send the appointment letter to the petitioner but it doesn't work sometimes...you have to wait..bec it is really taking long for them to process it even it is already stated on the CEAC that it is ready for interview..even the approved petition is already expired...they will adjust the time...so you need to be patient..as long as you are still working here you need not worry..just wait patiently..it will come...(in my case we received the NOA2 dated 23Jan2014 we missed the interview since we didn't receive the appointment letter...which should be 06th May 2014...yeah we waited that long..but it will come....

Ok, what you did to get the case number? Or how did you know that you have appointment on may 6? Did you able to re schedule your appointment? All I need to know is that atleast they can give the appointment date even like it takes month or more before the interview. . That's what im afraid of, that they will sched us and wi miss it..what advise you can give me since we didn't hear anything from the nvc yet? Thank you?

It is a little early for how things are moving along lately, give it a week or two more.

Have you called or emailed NVC?
