we filed the case in august 2016 and our case is now at checklist stage ..we sent 2 documents without translation and they sent as an email in march to send those dcuments back but ofcourse that letter was confusing so some lawyer told us dont send anything and wait for interview letter. after a month we called nvc to check status and found we have to send those documents to them ,in a hurry we sent them documents on the same day and they told us they will take 11 WEEKS to review them :( in june we will complete our 11 weeks hopefully we get some positive response.

anyone in same situation please update :)

Almost exactly what happened to us.  We received a checklist from NVC in January for 2 documents which our attorney had supposedly already sent with original package.  Our attorney called NVC to challenge the checklist.  She told us that we were in queue for interview........but we didn't get the official letter and interview date until 11 weeks later......

I hope you have a better experience.

Well, I suspect that my attorney actually sent the documents IN RESPONSE to the checklist......and it took another 11 weeks for NVC to review them.
