Filed service request few days ago and now this is the response from USCIS

Can anybody tell what is Additional Review?

I would guess because of the immigrants country. Are you also (the petitioner) from Pakistan? Additional means more deeper background checks. Maybe they are waiting on CIA, FBI checks. All you can do is wait.

Yes, petitioner is also from Pakistan (US Citizen). I also think we (one of us) has got a HIT. waiting waiting waiting

it happened to me at TSC. its just another way for them to get you off their backs. When they put you in additional review, it takes you out of the normal queue and then they tell you they have no timeline. Then normal processing times don't apply anymore ( told to me by the Senator's office) It has nothing to do with what country you're from

Hey I am currently on a K-1 visa. On The 18th I put up a service request online and I received a reply 2 days later. This is what it states:

at least you got a timline. sigh ...they didnt give us any time frame.

it happened to me at TSC. its just another way for them to get you off their backs. When they put you in additional review, it takes you out of the normal queue and then they tell you they have no timeline. nothing special happens... you sit and wait just as you have been. My file sat for 10.5 months. When I started emailing letters everyday, they came up with this extra security check #######. IMO, it is just another thing to buy time on their part. I think they run out of excuses.. so they tell you something that can't be expedited so you stop bothering them.

I did SEVERAL SERVICE REQUESTS, WEEKLY contact with the senator's office. All the Senator's office did was call and get the same answer as I got wen I called. Some tier 2 reps at the USCIS were willing to help, others told me to wait 60 days... bla bla bla.

In my case, the file sat for so long, when they finally picked it up, it only took a week or so before approval... this whole process is a joke. Now I watch all the files being approved in 4-5 months. Its like a kick in the stomach.

You are April, 13 filer and all those fillers got stuck, back log was huge due to DACA implementation, its just now they are showing official processing time 5 month or less on their websites.

Even then i feel your are around 3 months late with all that backlogs.
