Hello China Forum, we desparately need some help. We just received our appointment email from Guangzhou. Has anyone registered and scheduled their Guangzhou Interview Appointment using the new CGI Stanley System? The CGI Stanley System is the new system that was implemented March 16, 2013. Does anyone know how to use this system? What are the steps to register and schedule an interview? My fiancee in China is really having trouble with this website. It is not clear to us who must create an account in the CGI System and schedule the interview. Can either of us schedule the interview or must the Chinese Fiancee do it? I need to know if I can complete the registration and schedule the interview for my fiancee who is in China ? The CGI Stanley website is very confusing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all....

it's my understanding the petitioner can do it, but all keystrokes must be in the beneficiary's 'voice'.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Another possible option is to send an email inquiry to the GUZ IV unit:

http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/contactiv.html

The consulate can sometimes be slow responding, but they are usually helpful.

Unfortunately for you, as you mention, this is a newly implemented system at the consulate. As such, all of us are trying to find out the new procedures. You are one of the first to be processed using the new system.

Please report back on your progress.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I kind of wish that we had this system last year, so i can pick the interview date to avoid document intake on may 2nd, and to avoid the whole traveling to guangzhou around the may 1st holiday.

This is probably a dumb question but I want to make sure. We made an appointment on CGI Stanley's website as well, for 5/2. That's really the doc intake day, right? The actual interview will take place on 5/3, am I correct? Thanks.

Contact the Consulate and ask, I've seen some recent posting that would suggest they are returning to the 1 day system.
