Can anyone verify that a DOS operator is capable of knowing that a visa was stamped on passport? I am just paranoid they would do a switcharoo and send a paper for AP.

01/20/12 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox.

01/26/12 - NOA1 received and processing at Vermont.

06/28/12 - NOA2 announced on status check.

06/29/12 - NVC received case learned on 07/2/12.

06/30/12 - Hard copy NOA2 received.

07/09/12 - NVC Casefile Number and IIN Issued.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

07/17/12 - Mailed DS-3032 via mail, AOS bill received via email, paid online, Optin email sent.

07/18/12 - Optin accepted and new case number, AOS marked paid, emailed AOS packet.

07/24/12 - Assigned as Agent, IV Fee bill received via email, paid online.

07/25/12 - IV Fee marked paid, emailed IV packet.

? A visa is not a stamp - it is a sticky piece of paper.

I say call back every day..

time ticks after interview ..

1. Visa Issued

2. Visa Packet Sent

or

1. put in administrative review

2. cleared from administrative review

3. visa issued

4. Visa Packet Sent

or

1. Blue Slip issued

2. Evidence sent by Beneficiary added to the casefile

3. Consular Review

4. Visa Issued

5. Visa Packet Sent

so, yer really chasing after 'visa packet sent' ... once you hear that, except it to arrive via ems anywhere from 2 days to 12 days later. EMS doesn't pick up on same day, and 'visa packet sent' is a misnomer time tick - it ONLY means the approved visa is sent to the mailroom for bundling and subsequent 'hold for EMS pickup', which could take 2 to 4 days itself (there are queues in every single step of this process, you move from 1 queue to another along the way )

The tracking number of my beneficiary's visa packet is ED156553983CW. Her visa is issued, hopefully she will receive her visa packet in about one week. Please ask her contact China post office regarding the delivery of her visa packet at a later time.

right now, somewhere between bundling and the mail room.

Not in EMS just yet - but unsure of the date/time stamp of when you received it.

FIGURE 2 to 3 days inside of GUZ IV for bundling of visa packet before it gets to the mailroom,

then 1 to 2 days for EMS to take it away from GUZ IV.

After that, once EMS has it - yer on yer own for figuring out the scheduling ;)

ask them that you would like the tracking number for the visa they had mailed for your fiance/wife. and thank them for their time.

you must use this form to ask them http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn//immigrant-visa-unit-question.html and also fill it out once per a reply too..

Isn't the tracking number the 13digit number on the EMS receipt? or there is a different number?
