A question about DS_3032 and what to do

Hello everyone,

My husband finally got his NVC Case Number, and Invoice NO. He also got his beneficiary Number. So we are happy about that. We also paid the 88 dollars afer we got the case information. After payment went through, it mentions the next steps we should take. There is a lot to read, and I'm trying to read as much as I can. I am wondering about IV (I was reading this under another post on this board). What is that? And does my husband have to fill out a DS-3032? What is this used for?

Is there a specific link I can use to get started? I'm just sort of confused with so much information! It's just a bit overwhelming and trying to get everything organized for the next steps.....

The DS-3032 is the choice of address and agent , He will fill out the form or the (Petitioner) can fill it out themselves and appoint him/herself as the Choice of agent and Address. You will also need form DS-230 Have the beneficiary sign PT one and DO NOT sign PT Two... Make sure to have the supporting documents you will once you hit the NVC stages which are original Birth Cert. Marriage Cert. and a copy of the Biographic page of his passport.

WOW now thats different. I never heard of the AOS bill generated without the DS-3032 being sent in. So you went from cae# and your case online was already waiting and you paid. WOW.

Or how did you pay the $88 just curious and confused myself.

The DS-3032 is the agent assignment. This is where all correspondence goes to that the Beneficiary assigns. The email must come from the beneficiary's mailbox.

Since you paid the AOS you should be getting the package online or should have already got all you need (petitioner's income info all that) Read the guides on that.

The IV Bill is the Visa Petition. Beneficiary needs to get Police report from every wheer they have lived since age 16 for 6 months, Birth certificate, biographical pages of passport, 2 passport pics, DS-230 form Part i signed only.

Please read the guides though. Congrats seems you guys got to jump over a step.

Also, I paid online using a relative from usa. Its very easy to use! But it must be from a bank in usa. Thanks for the link! And when do I send the police certificate? How do I get the IV bill? You said you paid the AOS Bill have you recived the packet (Barcoded sheet ) to send in your AOS. Usually after you do that the IV Bill will become available, The DS-230 with all the other things about beneficiary will be together with the bar-coded sheet they have. You don't send nothing until requested. The DS-3032 should have been sent in. thats just an email you saw the template you just plug in the information and mail it.

Here is the DS 3032 Choice of Agent template. Have the beneficiary plug in the correct info, triple check it and send it in the email body, not an attachment.

Once the agent is chosen the IV (Immigrant Visa Application) fee is produced. It will show PAID in just 1-2 days.

Make sure to print both AOS and IV bar coded cover sheets.

Actually you CAN pay the AOS before sending the DS 3032,it is automatically generated when you get a NVC case number, then ofcourse you need the Invoice Number to log in You just cant pay the IV until the agent has been chosen.

After I send it, will they send me paperwork for the IV Bill? Or can I print out the application and start filling it out? Also, do I send the police certificates along with the IV Bill? The DS 3032 will take about a week to process, then you can pay the IV fee online.

You should get an email once the agent has been assigned, but I would just use your NVC# and Invoice# and keep checking online to see if the payement has been generated. IV fee just changed its $200 something (was $400 something).

Not necessary to wait for anything by mail. Just print I-864 and DS 230 forms online, gather documents and get your AOS and IV packets ready.

YES you will need the police certificate to send with IV packet. NOT BILL, BILL YOU PAY BEFOREHAND ONLINE, print the bar coded cover sheet that will go on top of the packet.

I just wanted to update about the DS_3032....I sent them an email (thanks so much for the link and template) and followed the exact template format. About three days later I got an approval in my inbox. I also sent the DS_3032 in the postal mail which wasn't necessary but I was not sure if the email would work or not. Anyhow, sending in the DS 3032 in my email worked for me.

Hi all,

I send the email with the info for the D3032 instead of the paper itself 4 days ago. I already paid the $88 dolar fee and I sent the I-864 package. I am waiting for the website to show the bill for $400. How many days does it take them to check the 3032 email and move on to the next step?
