May I ask what people found to be the availability for medical appointments? I am aggravatingly still waiting for a supporting letter from my GP, and I don't want to book anything until I have that in hand. When you called Knightsbridge were they pretty open? I'd love to get this ball rolling again, as soon as it's within my power!

When I phoned last week they said they were very open. But as Azsara says I'd go ahead a book it now

2 weeks when I had mine also, think it depends on if it's just you, or do you have kids to bring along as well.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

It'll just be me going. Going to give my GP a few more days to get their @rse in gear, I think. Despite this process requiring infinite amounts of it, I am not the most patient person! (pun slightly intended).

My Fiance sent his forms royal mail and signature required he kept the receipt: is there a id number on there where we can track it online and what would be the website to track it.? I'm the U.S. citizen..

Thanks much! :)

I-134 Number 3. I assume this is okay an correct?

My Fiance's name goes there and relationship to my brother (co-sponsor) would be where it says "relationship to sponsor" - future brother in law- can he put this there would this be correct and of course I would put Fiancee.

And since my brother's income doubles the poverty guideline I assume it is not necessary to add life insurance which they use as savings or propety or savings acount amount.

Thanks fellow vj's

There should be a 13 character number somewhere on the receipt that you can enter on here: http://www.royalmail.com/track-trace

http://www.royalmail.com/track-it-down

If it was just sent with a signature required, I don't think it shows anything until the item has actually been delivered.

I saw those earlier and thought--Just Great! They haven't even worked out the new online payment form or how to communicate with the IV Unit, yet they are adding another layer of newness to this mix. The form is supposed to be for an immigrant visa processed at NVC. Wonder if they thought through how it will work with K1s. Can't wait until some of you try it. :P

I guess it will stop the phone calls saying "did you get my forms yet?" Oh no wait-- the 156, 156k, and 157 will still have to be mailed. The K1 visa is the step-child in so many respects---not quite fitting the rest of the visa world or the adjustment of status, social security, driver license world.

Aye, but I think like this new MRV system we're going to have to play this one by ear. I'm assuming that the limited rollout is now done and they've moved to rolling out the DS-260 worldwide. When logging in to it, NVC case number is self-explanatory but invoice number? That I understand for CR-1/IR-1's but do K1's ever get an invoice number given we pay our fees at the embassy stage?

If you follow the link trail you end up here, which an explanation of how to find out if you need to do the DS-260: http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5164.html

Next Steps – Access the Consular Electronic Application Center

To determine if your petition began processing in time to join the program and to access Form DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application, and Form DS-261, Choice of Address and Agent, click Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) website. After logging in, follow the directions displayed noting the following:

  • If CEAC provides you with the option of completing a DS-260 (note it may be grayed-out because you have not paid your Immigrant Visa Fee), you are required to complete the DS-260.
  • If CEAC provides you with online payment information only, you are NOT required to complete the DS-260.

Invoice number - I have no idea - today is the first I've seen K1/DCF people refer to it, so I'm assuming that's new. DCF cases are handled much like K1s in terms of interview scheduling, and a live DCF case just now asked the same thing about invoice number. Perhaps that'll come with the interview letter? That's the only way I can imagine anyone getting it.

Aye. We'll see either way. If the new MRV stuff is anything to go by, there are going to be teething troubles with this system as well.
