I knew someone approved at uscis but ap at nvc and then a faster process at the visa... altho it was someone from another country but yes it does happen... AP can happen at any stage of the process

and yes it is possible to get your visa within a month all depends on many factors but only the CO knows what they are... just hope for the best is all you can do

This is what our senator got as a response about a month ago all I can see is that they can't tell us how long it will take ...that's about all i can get out of the two different responses.

This is in response to your inquiry concerning an immigrant visa case of xxxxxxxxxx.

xxxxxxxxxxx case is still undergoing administrative processing, a normal part of the visa application process, that can be neither expedited nor waived. We are unable to predict the amount of time this will require.

Once the administrative processing is complete, we will contact xxxxxx. I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if I can provide any further assistance.

Sincerely,

I think they are being honest with you. They are saying that more In Depth Administrative Processing needs to be done and it will take a few more months. So, maybe he has a name hit that requires manual research and they know it will take months to clear it.

I am sorry for your wait.

Are you waiting for an interview? Have you finished your interview? You got NOA2 months ago. congrats!

I feel since you filled out your timeline you will be approved quickly!

Seriously, there is no way to tell who will be approved quickly and who gets stuck in AP.

All I see on this site is many people who are in AP. I do not get to see all the quick approvals.

Many people say 99% of Pakistans will go thru a lengthy AP.

Many people said 99% of Muslims go through AP in Egypt but through my VJ research it only shows about 66% of them go through AP. In Pakistan that number would be much higher from what I have seen.

Good Luck on a NO AP or a Quick AP.

Thanks for the update Ebbass., someday soon it will say...his visa is being printed!!

I was only in AP a short time, but I remember when I heard the embassy lady tell me those words on the phone on a Monday morning. It was surreal... I called DOS to confirm it but they said still AP. lol

So, I did not get excited. I just emailed my congressman and told them to get it in writing for me. and they did. and he received the visa 6 days after AP in washington was completed.

Ebbas...you must believe with all your heart and soul.... feel those words...see those words.... "His visa is being printed"

His time will come soon

You made me cry!!! (L) thank you for your love and support... All i can see is it says normal so i pray that this normal will indeed become finished soon!!! at almost 11 months and seeing visas issued after 9 months to a year makes me believe it will be very soon. AP is the hardest thing i've ever gone thru and all we want now is a normal life... you know.. the kind where you get frustrated because laundry is on the floor or who gets home first starts dinner or for us.. both of us being so clumsy... one trips over the other foot.. but being thankful for all of that at the same time! I just really really really miss him!and it hurts...

I cannot imagine what you are going through. You are making your love stronger and making the most out of Skype. You deserve to be together and you will.

Never give up. Always have faith that he will have that visa soon.

and on a side note-- we do get upset over regular household duties!! and then I praise God that I am mad that the floor needs to be swept or the garbage nees to be taken out! You will be happy to be mad too!! I can tell you have been envisioning his living with you soon!

Now, I will pray you get a promotion at work and a HUGE raise... then you can prepare better for his arrival!

Much love and respect,

Micki
