This is a follow up to this thread.

My fiance had a table set up with a bunch of Canadian goodies! Aero bars (both regular and mint), Cadbury caramilk and Dairy Milk bars, Jersey Milk Bars, Smarties, Maynards and Allan Candies, big bag of Rockets, Ruffles Ketchup and All Dressed chips, gravy for poutine, Tim Hortons cappuccino mixes, Peach juice, Gravol (cuz I get motion sickness and Gravol is my BFF), Neo-Citran and of course, KD!

He also got me a few other gifts; a deep fryer and veggie slicer (I really wanted to make my own fries as it is something my mom does and I will miss it), Canada flag, pins, some socks with maple leafs and others that look like an American flag, and a few other things. Totally amazing!

This really made me feel welcome here. I am so happy to finally be with my fiance! So happy!

Thank you everyone who gave him ideas and such. We read through his thread last night together and I told him I had NO IDEA! I never would think of Pastrychef being my fiance!

aww soo sweet! I am jealous though! I have been craving ketchup chips for ever! and I have to wait until Nov when my parents come to visit.

That is adorable! I just arrived yesterday. Feels a bit surreal.

It really does! It kind of feels like I am visiting, and not living here. It will sink in sooner or later I am sure. I feel overwhelmed with all my boxes and stuff, but we are debating moving into a larger apartment (across the hall). If we do then I don't want to unpack yet!

Where did you cross? How long did it take? I crossed at the Peace Bridge at Fort Erie/Buffalo. We waited for 3 hours to get my visa processed! They didn't check the car and it was fairly simple once we were called up. The lady who helped us was super nice :)

We crossed at the Windsor/Detroit Ambassador Bridge yesterday morning. They had me put my dog in a cage (which I wasn't a fan of AT ALL) while my fiance and I went inside the building and they checked out our truck (not very thoroughly, didn't want our list either) ... inside, we waited about an hour before they called us up and after that, we were out within about twenty minutes. It wasn't too bad, my only issue was knowing my dog was outside in a wet cage and it was pouring rain. Luckily, after waiting a bit, someone came in and told me I was allowed to put my dog back in the truck and a very nice officer helped me lift him back into it. :)
