My wife recently passed her embassy interview to get her CR1 spousal visa on april 12th 2011, yes there is a interview for that as well as interview for questions at St. Lukes. Her timeline for the whole process was 200 days, i think normal it averages 8-81/2 months. These web sights might help your friend, with what my wife went through and what she used to help her with the process. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/300420-daily-food-cost-and-tranportation-in-manila/ , http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/305202-wifes-manila-embassy-experience/ ,http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221658-st-lukes-medical-exam-walkthrough/ , http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/236974-no-cfo-yet/, hope it helps if links do not work just type in topic in your search bar at top of page, good luckstar_smile.gif
