Thanks

I am not as confident as my post seems but I cannot panick and wait 2-3 months for another interview. I also think they was testing me with the appointment because I was the one that asked for an appointment for april 15 due to work schedule and they made the appointment for april 16 to try and accomodate me and then I found out they wanted another marriage certificate from the Haiti archives. When I talked to my husband he told me it would not be ready for about 3 weeks I tried to change it to may and they was adamant that if I was going to change it they would not have anything available until july maybe. They also said he could bring the marriage certificate at another time if applicable and we know supposedly they schedule 1 month in advance and they do not have not 1 appoint till july.

Good luck E&B! Even though you have a lot of confidence, I would just say to practice the questions beforehand. My fiance had his interview yesterday and we practiced possible questions a lot. Because I knew he was going to be so nervous I didn't want him to say something silly or offensive. It definitely helped him because he had already thought out the responses, even to simple questions like when did you meet, and how do you spend your time together.

Again, Good Luck and keep us posted!

If it is a stokes interview they will ask simple questions looking for common answers since they will seperate the 2 of you to different rooms.

Example

What side of the bed do you sleep on? Then ask this same question of your fiance

What is your favorite food? again asking same question of fiance

Stokes interview is designed to see if the two people actually know each other. Names dates etc can be memorized, but the questions in a stokes are designed to surprise you with simple day to day life details.

Question that catches many people for those people that talk on video chat or phone daily, because people will bring tons of emails etc to an interview to prove bonafied.

What time does your fiance normally call you everyday?

Answer honestly and don't be nervous. A valid relationship will easily pass a stokes interview. A non valid will be found quickly.

Thanks for your reply

My husband went for his CR-1 interview today. He stated the interview went well but they wanted another copy of our marriage license. We sent the original marriage license and original birth certificates for both of us and now they want birth certificates from both of us and marriage license from Haiti archives. They also want me to come to the 2nd interview in Haiti with him. We will go May 14. He states that they did not ask for us to bring anything else but I am sure they will ask for something. They gave him a number for me to call and talk with them but I was unable to talk to any at that number today so I emailed them and they e-mailed me back about the date. Since I did not think they would e-mail me back so soon I did not ask a lot of questions but I did e-mail them agian after they responded in 2 hours. I have not received a second e-mail yet. Does anyone know what else they would want when I go to Haiti.

Went for second interview on April 16 at 8am as scheduled but there was no one at the consulate, went to the embassy side and was told that there was no interviews scheduled on saturday. Showed my e-mail to them and they stated this must be an error and to come back on monday. explained that my flight leaves at 8am monday and was told to cme back monday at 6am and let them consulate know. Was very upset with the situation but kept my composure due to knowing that I would have to come back and did not want my behavior to hinder the situation. Went to the airport and changed ticket to 12 noon for 172 dollars. Went back to the consulate at 6 am on monday and gate keeper looked at e-mail and wrote a note for anyone whom we came in contact with while on our way in. Had luggage in hand and was allowed to leave it with person that keep cell phones and any items that was not allowed in. Husband was intervied for about an hour and a half then I was asked to come into interview and he ws asked to leave. I was asked the same questions that he was asked in many different way, such as who lives with me, where does my husband live and with whom. When did we get married and where. what did we do after the wedding and who bought the rings and were. When was the last time we had sex and what time. Didi we use protection. Did my husband use something after be became erect and penetrated. Where does his daughter live. Have we been married before and when was the divorce or in his case when did his wife die. We stayed at a motel the first night after the wedding and that was a focal point because he kept asking me how many night did we stay at the motel which was one and his voice evne changed a bit with this question. I did see him mark 3about 3 questions with a red pen which probably means not the same but overall I think it went okay but we should know today. They were very nice and asked me/told me at the end that you really love your husband don't you then stated a second time you really love your husband. He then stated have a safe trip back to oklahoma and at that time it was 9:30 beause every knew I needed to be at the airport by 10am for international flight checkin. We were told that since they were trying to accomdate the intake operson was not goin to try and review with answer the same but would contact my husband. He is to pick of original copy of marriage certificate and death certificate in Haiti today and take it to them then get an answer. Every one was very nice but the interviewer id try to see if I would change my answers by asking the questions over and over in different ways even raising his voice at times. I remained calm and gave the same answers which were the truth.

We did take lots of information but they only wanted to see the wedding piture and other picture's again. Everythin else he had taken to his 1st interview and was already stamped

Ah, Ecuador relived... such joy. OP, let us know the outcome.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
