Heya

Posting a day early, coz I know we're Feb '10 CSC filers as we'll be mailing our I-129F off tomorrow. Can't sleep I'm so excited!

And with you on the waiting. Had to wait for my divorce to be finalised and erm, for him to formally propose. Which was fair enough, I didn't want him to until I knew for certain that my divorce was nearly finalised. And then he had an 'omg, wth am I doing' moment, we broke up and got through barely 24 hours before he took hold of his senses and had another 'omg, wth am I doing' moment that reversed the initial one. Anyone still with me? lol...

We also had the slowest 2-4 working day delivery, thanks USPS, that meant our I-129F package took 10 working days to get there. The day it arrived, I had couriered a replacement one to him and now we're actually waiting for that to arrive tomorrow because it's got the 2nd copy of the G-325a that I forgot to include, as well as the copy of my decree absolute that wasn't available when I sent the first package and also the 'proof of name change document (my first marriage certificate) which I'd been told wasn't necessary as it was supposedly listed on my divorce decree. But as it wasn't, I decided to include the name change proof which they'll either need or not. So that's one potential RFE crossed off the list.

Gonna be a nutty fool once we've put it in the mail. Trying to think of fun ways to mark every passing day until NOA2 arrives. At the moment, I'm thinking of putting money in a jar each passing day, say £2 a day. I won't miss it but it will slowly add up :)

Wow guys, just read your story - what a frustrating journey to have a divorce acknowledged that's already happened!

Congrats on getting through to this stage and here's hoping you have a smooth and RFE-free K1 journey :)

Hello All!!

I'll be sending out our packet next week. I am so excited and so scared at the same time. Looks like we waiting a bit too long to get our packet out though, as our wedding is planned for August. We are still crossing our fingers and hoping that someone at the Embassy in London is in a good mood.

When I called USCIS they said that there is a 5 month processing timeline for the I-129f. I believe them, but I'm hoping they are wrong. I saw that the people who had sent their packets in September got theirs approved in about 3 months. That would be nice.

What sort of timelines have any of you heard?

3 to 4 seems about average. It varies at different times of the year, as they get fewer applications in January/ early February. But of course that could mean that they pull adjudicators off I-129Fs and move them to a 'busier' visa section to get those moving...

We also want to be there by August, if only so my daughter can start school with the rest of the kids. Having said that, she won't finish school until nearly 2 months after they do, so it would be a very short summer vacation (4 weeks if she's lucky!) followed by a much longer school year with far fewer breaks than she's used to!

The downside is that London seem to have really slowed down recently. It looks like they hold onto a month's worth of packet 3s and then issue interviews all on the same day, spread over the next month or so. I'm sure Christmas slowed it all down a lot too. Looks like a crapshoot as to how long your application sits at the embassy, waiting for the middle of the month!

Adam and May - did you intend for this thread to be for Feb CSC Phillipine posters only? If so, sorry! I missed the subtitle. Just let us know and I'll start a new one and ask an organiser to move non-PI posts over. If it's not a problem, can we have the subtitle removed, please? It could well be putting people off posting (but then again, it's only 5th Feb :D )

Thanks!

Yeah I hear that the embassy in London is taking their sweet time. I have spoken with my congressman's office already, and they told me to call them when I get my NOA2, and they would try and push for the interview. There is no reason why anyone should be waiting a month just to get an interview date. It's crazy! Good luck with everything. I'll keep you posted!

I am trying to become a Feb 2010 CSC filer. I mailed the I-129F package from the Post Office Certified return receipt requested on Monday, Feb 1, 2010. It is Friday, Feb 5. I have not got the receipt back from the Post Office, I keep entering the postal number in to their web-site and keep getting the same information, the package was accepted at my post office February 1.

I should have sent it Fed Ex overnight to get in the line and start processing. I am so paranoid that the whole package was lost and I will need to redo everything.

I will be able to join the Feb. 2010 CSC club after I see the receipt back from the post office, the check is casehed, and I get NOA1.

Good luck to all of us.
