hi everyone...tomorrows my day...im sending my I 130 package...yehey finally (after studying this thing since december instead of spending for a lawyer!)

if anyone wants to join me on this thread...lets share stories...advices...etc!

I sent mine in 2 days ago,just checked the USPS website and my package reached USCIS today.

I have been working on it for months trying to make it "perfect", our file ended up being so thick that I could not fit it into the priority shipping envelope but had to use the priority box instead:D

Yeah, I have a feeling I went a little overboard, but I read it somewhere on USCIS page that it is better to send as much as possible to avoid an REF.

I am thinking I should have just sent a "mediocre" file instead:) say 3 months ago, I would be half way through the process by now. Oh, well...

Now I am going to be frantically checking my bank account to see when my check gets cashed.

Yesterday, my mom told me she spoke with a friend who also married a guy from Bosnia, and she said they just got approved after only 2 months! I know they didn't do DCF since she came here right after the wedding, so I am gonna try find out what the heck did she do to get approved so fast:D

Our I-130 petition was mailed out on Monday and was received yesterday

Now the anxious waiting begins.

I miss my husband I can only hope we will be together in the US this time next year

sent mine by priority with tracking number and confirmation! it was only 5$...

and i just stuck to the basics with the evidences...

I'm in the same boat, hopefully I will have everything sent by February 16th 2009 (Still need my wife to sign her G325a). I have been away from my wife & 3 kids since November 10th, 2008. It's tough being away from everything (3500 kms away) especially that my kids are very active in sports (Hockey - the only sport out there).

Why didn't you file DCF?

i could have filed for DCF, my husband would have been with me now, but i couldnt for personal reasons and really stupid reasons and it is a very big misfortune...i still feel bitter about it too.

if you havent read my story...well here it is...i got pregnant and we were not married at that time yet. to add to that, my parents never liked my husband when we were dating...i came from a very conservative religous strict roman catholic family and my husband is muslim and from a conservative religous muslim family. we were both students so imagine the anger the parents felt. but now they all have chilled...my mom takes care of my son and my husband lives with my parents...i could not file for DCF because since we were students, we had no source of income...not even enough money to pay for the $355 filing fee...and i guess it would be considered "shameful" to ask relatives to be co sponsors....

so i made our way...after graduation i left and came back to the united states, found a job and now im confident that we will be together again...

They still have not cashed my check:(

It makes me nervous waiting, I won't rest until I am sure the petition has reached USCIS, and I won't know untill they cash the darn check...so I figured I'd come here and vent...

Of course, it's too early to sign up for online case tracking, I know because I tried....

Thanks for starting this thread! I am in the same boat. I am actually waiting for documents from my spouse, like G325A. I will hopefully file my I-130 next week. Could you tell me that do I need a copy of my spouse's birth certificate in order to file I-130. They did not ask anything in the instructions. I know they used to require that before, but I think now, you only need that at NVC level. Good luck to all of us!!!!! please keep this thread alive. We all should keep in touch!! Thanks again!!!!

i sent mine feb 5 and they received it feb 7 (saturday)...my check has not been cashed yet...i am so worried...is there something wrong? how long is the wait?

Don't worry!! it's too early now. They will cash your check. Did you send your husband's birth certificate along with your I-130???
