Kathryn & Joe Detroit 2004-05-07 No No - High Actually entered at Port Huron, Michigan - no problem at Port Huron, but I had checked the week before at Algonac and was told yes, we could cross on an I-129f there so arrived there only to be met by a different immigration officer who refused to process me. Had to add another 4 hours travel time driving with 6 cats and belongings to Port Huron. Port Huron asked why Algonac didn't process and said they could have if they had wanted to! Actual processing took 30 minutes - didn't look at any documents related to belongings or pets - quick and polite. If I had known Algonac wouldn't process, we could have saved substantial travel time and gone through Detroit, although border wait times were currently ranging from 1 to 20 hours with little warning due to transport truck traffic back ups. 2011-03-29

Inga & Eric Denver 2004-04-29 No Yes - High There is an ex-mil. USCIS officer there who was stationed in Germany most his life. He was very pleasant and happy he could practice his German. He even made a copy of the vaccination sheet for me which i later stuck into the AOS package. I only had 2 hours in Denver to catch my connection. Security screening can take 20-30 minutes, just to enter the terminal. I had 10 minutes to spare when i got to the plane. 2007-05-30
