He was held for 20 minutes being asked things like if he was cold, why he wanted to go to Arkansas instead of staying in the UK, to what day of the week is the wedding. He was tired and annoyed at how much they hassled him when everything had already been cleared. |

The POE process was pretty easy at JFK. It took about 2 hours but, only because the officer went on break halfway through Bhupi's processing. They asked very few questions mostly basic: Bhupi's parents names, whether or not he was married, and where he was coming from. Do not be alarmed if you are waiting for your fiance for a long time at the airport - the K1 visas are processed differently than tourist visas, etc so, they tend to take longer. Overall, it was a very easy experience. |
