the line at cbp was surprisingly short this time around. The officer was very nice and asked a couple questions, mainly wanted to know my adress and phone number and what kind of stuff I was bringing in (food? alcohol? etc.). Then he handed my passport to another officer who took me to secondary processing. There was 4 of us in total and 3 officers who were checking our passports and doing something on their computers. I got called in 5-10 minutes. The officer was again very polite, asked me to confirm the adress and phone number, congratulated me and that was it :). I had 2 large bags with me and nobody wanted to see them either. |

Extremely pleasant experience. Officer at the first counter was given passport and yellow envelope. She asked about the visa type and an escort was called to take him to secondary inspection. At secondary, the officer was funny and easy to talk to and asked him about his previous entries, previous residency status, final address destination, and cracked a few jokes and gave advise about the AP processing for travel. Total time: exiting the plane and waiting in line was 1 hour and talking to the first officer and secondary took 15 more minutes. After that, he collected his bags and rechecked them for his next flight. |

Long queue for immigration but once at the counter took less than 5 minutes. Lovely officer and great experience entering. Got my IR1 stamp in the passport and was told my green card should arrive within 3 months. |
