Boiler is right. It's taking 12-18 months after being DQ'd at NVC, 15 months on average.

Hi and thank you! So my husband had his interview in Mexico, specifically in Ciudad Juárez. We got the biometrics done in Tijuana on the 17th. We arrived there on the 18th. He had his medical exam done on Thursday (luckily he had all his vaccinations are they would've charged him an arm and leg) and he picked up his results on Friday. Then on the 23rd came the 1st of 2 interviews. It was quick. This day he was only busy for like 45-50 minutes. He gave them his birth certificate, our marriage certificate,, police certificate, and his passport. They asked who petitioned him (me), where was the petitioner at the present moment (in the hotel in Juárez lol), do I speak Spanish, and just to verify my phone number and address, plus the names of his parents. Apparently there's no sense of privacy. You can hear other people getting interviewed with their cases being either approved or denied. They gave him a blue slip with the date and time of the next appointment, and told him to read something about the rights of victims of domestic violence and the law. There was a QR code on the slip for that. The next day he was inside the consulate for nearly 3 hours, just waiting to be called upon. When he finally went to see the interview officer the questions went by pretty fast. This time they only asked to see my birth certificate. Again they asked who petitioned him, what relation do I have to him, where do I work, where did I meet, when did we get married, has he had any problem with the police in the past, and in what city was I born. Also they asked if he read about the domestic violence and the rights of the victim. They told him congratulations he was approved, gave him the coveted green slip, and kept his passport. His passport should arrive in Tijuana soon with the visa attached inside.

Well Im not sure what embassy/consulate your particular case is in, but I believe most schedule the appointment for you. However if you need to you can work with them to delay the appointment 😃

I don't think you have to worry. IR-2 is an immigrant visa, and the MRV concerns non-immigrant visas IIRC immigrant fees don't expire.

Hey good afternoon: So my husband and I received his interview date in email on 12/12/22 and the first interview was on 1/23/23. So you will have roughly 6 weeks to prepare for the trip to Juarez. Actually 5 weeks because you'll need to arrive at least a couple of days before to do the medical exam. Because the first interview date was on a Monday we arrived on Wednesday, 1/18 and he did his medical exam the next day. He picked up his results on Friday. The biometrics were done in his home city of Tijuana and the police certificate was still valid, so we didn't have to do that in Juarez.

So 129f is for the K-1 visa correct? If so then you should contact the embassy in Mexico City. That is where the interview for your case will be held.

I haven't written in a while, but finally our interview appointment has arrived! For January 23, 2023.

Hi sorry for the long wait, I just barely saw this today. I put that I was a federal employee in the healthcare field and that I needed my spouse for financial purposes. We might as well just wait it out because we're now anticipating the interview to be around January 2023. Thank you for your response!

Hello to all: I just have a quick question. If our case was denied to be expedited to the consulate, would that put us back at the end of the line at NVC? I asked for a third time this July and was denied. We have been DQ since October 2021 and we're just waiting for an interview appointment.
