Got off the plane, went to the immigration and joined the queue, waited for about 45 mins., staffs were friendly, when it comes to my turn, they opened the K1 package, asked me few basic questions; when is the wedding, where in the states i'm going to stay, what's my fiance surname. While the staff asking me questions, at the same time, took my fingerprints and a photo shot, then directed me to the isolated room for more immigration check. There was a bunch of people waited ahead of me, so it took me to 1 & 1/2 hr to wait for my turn. After the long wait, stamped my passport, got the I-94 form w/ A# on it & reminded me to marry w/in 90 dys. I was a bit worry of my connection flight but luckily it was changed the flight time schedule. And I thanked God I arrived safely to my destination even though it was delayed for many hours due to flight schedule. |

She arrived at 9:00 pm at Chicago O'hare, but they were on the tarmack for about an hr. When she got off it took longer to get her baggage than to go through immigration :-) |

I went to the citizens/returning residents line. The immigration officer processed my passport, took the biometrics (fingerprint and facial picture) and took me to a small waiting room to process immigration papers (the yellow envelope) that I got from the US embassy Tokyo. It took about 15 minutes till my name was called, and then an officer took my fingerprint and asked me to write my signature on a form. She returned my passport and custom form to me a few minutes later and I was finally out of the airport. |
