My fiance said that the process was very smooth. The officer opened her package and informed her if she understood that she had to be married within 90 days or she had to leave. She said that she understood, and he told her welcome to America. |

POE was not a good experience. It took us 3 hours to get through immigration. First the line took forever (we got in at 8 PM, so not too many officers were working). Then when we got to the officer, who was nice, she stamped my wife's passport to let her in but when she tried to do the biometrics, the pictures wouldn't take. So then we went to another room where there were 3 officers that seemed to manually input the info. Very depressing room, because it seemed like they were also dealing with persons who were having problems entering the country. We were like 6th on a pile of visa packets but it took over an hour for someone to get to my wife's packet and input her data and send us on her way. They were so slow because they kept talking to each other and not doing their work. Very frustrating. But finally my wife was done, we got our bags and we left! Thank god we don't have to go through that again. |

Handed officer completed I-94 which he promptly tore in half and threw in garbage. After reviewing docs and stamping PP, he said "****"! Ma'am, I know it's my fault, but would you please complete another I-94...duh! |

Immigration Officer was rude and treated us like he didn't want to process our paperwork. I'm a retired combat veteran with over 24 years of service and he threw my passport at me when he was done scanning it. I bit my lip because I didn't want my wife to have a problem. They took her into an interview room after waiting for 20 minutes for someone to pick her up. They kept her for another hour until I complained, so by the time we claimed our bags and made it to the other terminal we missed our flight. Nobody was helpful and one of the officers suggested that I catch my flight and let her follow. Are you kidding me?! Luckily, Continental Air took care of us. Needless to say, I was disappointed that my wife's first impression of my beloved country was a negative one. |
