He tore it open and stamped one of the forms and my visa and sent me to secondary passport control with all the forms.For once there was no-one else down there and I was seen within a couple of minutes. I was given a form to sign in 2 places. They covered it up except where I had to sign so I've no idea what I was signing and they took one ink fingerprint of the index finger of my right hand in 2 places again with the form covered up. She asked if I had applied for a social security number. I said yes. She told me I'd get my green card in 2 to 5 months but the visa in my passport would serve as a green card till then.
