Had to drop luggage off for flight to TPA, go out of security, and find a security checkpoint for domestic. The 5 hours layover was a good decision. According to the SSA info I picked up on-line yesterday, the SSA says the K-1 qualifies the holder of the visa for work work authorization and SSN. However, she reported that the interviewer seemed "harried" (overworked?) and became a little less aggressive after my wife stood up for herself a bit. Her passport was stamped on the visa entry page and as I understand it, her conditional greencard should arrive within the next few days or weeks.
