POE - No questions, quick, and easy. He was completed with immigration 1 hour after landing. There were 3 international flights that landed around the same time so the line was long. My husband said the staff was friendly and helpful. |

I was allowed to go with her through the whole process was very long took us over 5 hrs we missed our connecting flight and were very tired. Could be faster but its done now |

The guys who actually processed me in the office were perfectly nice and joking around. The man who checked my passport as I actually entered was the grumpiest human being I've encountered in my life. He got a few yells in at the hubby for leaning on the counter and what not. But the rest of them made up for the experience.
From the original passport person it took about 45 minutes. All in all not a bad experience. Quite a few parole violations waiting in line with me in there and a couple of more immigrants. Be prepared to wait a little but perfectly friendly boys. |

The POE officer from homeland security was extremely friendly. I was surprised! She basically welcomed me to the US. No questions of any sort, just chatted a little. Then she actually left her post and escorted me to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection room, where I finalized the paperwork and took the fingerprints.
All was quite straight forward and on the way to the room I was allowed to pick up my bag from the carrousel.
I was positively impressed!!!
Note: I received my SSN 2 weeks after entry and my green card 3 weeks after entry. |
