POE: Through Washington D.C. we had to wait even though our documents were electronically submitted. We had a lengthy wait in the Border Control holding area. If you have a connecting flight, do plan ahead to have ample layover time. Washington is not a connection friendly airport. We had 3 hour layover and barely made the boarding final call. |

Arrived together, stood in citizen line. Citizen started to explain that fiance is on k1 visa, officer nicely shut it and said we have nothing else to do and congratulated us. Probably spent lesss than 5 minutes there, no questions asked. |
